Now we know that stags head off to Riga, Budapest and all the wonders of a stag do abroad for a lot of reasons. And one of those at the top of the list is because of the different gun laws in Eastern Europe, which allow you to fire some truly high powered weapons as part of a shooting stag weekend.

But what if we told you that you could fire something straight out of Rambo in good old blighty? We’ve teamed up with one of the UK’s only centres that allows you to use real guns and real bullets for a real stag do activity.

Brace yourself for a banging one lads, you’ll be using MP5’s and H&K 416s, with a minimum of 40 shots to obliterate any target. Whichever weapon you use you’ll be feeling the true recoil of a proper weapon, and get to appreciate the volume and power of these guns. You’ll be working in pairs of shooters, with instructors on hand to sharpen your shooting skills to a cutting edge.

And to make this event even more explosive? At the end of the firing range you’ll be targeting bleeding zombie torsos and exploding targets, all of which go towards creating a more visceral experience and a more legendary stag experience.

Saturday Nightclub Entry at Pryzm

Continue the fun with a Saturday party night in one of Bristol’s most popular superclubs. This is the ideal spot to put the lads through their paces, plus it’s near the Harbourside district, so you’ll be primed to grab a bite to eat and a beer beforehand. This is pretty much the biggest club in town, spread over five floors,  and it packs a mean punch when it comes to late-night revelry. DJs play a mix of dance, electronica and pop, with big-name talent often gracing the decks and three club arenas to play with. On top of that you’ve got seven themed rooms and five bars, meaning plenty of fun-loving girls to hang out with. Open until 4am most nights, this is probably going to be a late one, so make sure you don’t book any early morning activities the next day.

2 Nights In Holiday Inn Express Bristol

The Holiday Inn Express City Centre in Bristol is a budget hotel offering a little more bang for your buck. Look forward to power showers, air conditioning and a well stocked bar open until late. Luxury beds and a hearty breakfast will make your stay all the more enjoyable, with Sky Sports and pizza on hand in the lounge areas when you need some downtime. There’s a mouthwatering menu on offer at The Spot Kitchen and Bar – try the Bristol Smashed Burger or their man-sized portions of BBQ ribs. This hotel is the place to stay if you’ve got a bunch of lads arriving by train, because Temple Meads station is just over the road.

This is a brilliant location for exploring the city, so head west into town via the Floating Harbour to reach King Street and Queen’s Square. The ideal spot to sink a few Somerset ciders, this 17th century cobbled street has a fun vibe with plenty of pubs and restaurants. If it’s your big night out, the hotel is a ten minute-walk from Motion, an epic club in a converted skate park that spills onto the harbour – a must see for Bristol newbies.
