And in case you’re wondering, we always aim to place our groups in accommodation no more than a short walk from the best Bristol bars and clubs, making it convenient for you to go out, and get back, every night.
Our budget hotels, including the YHA overlooking the harbourside, are a solid no-thrills option. They won’t break the bank, but neither will they give you a stiff neck in the morning. Cheap, convenient but always comfortable. If you fancy pushing the boat out for your Bristol stag weekend, then our luxury hotels may be more appropriate for you and the boys; you’ll be able to stay at well-known brands such as the Hilton or Mercure.
Alternatively, you may prefer to choose to stay in our self-catering apartments in the Redcliffe area just outside the city centre. Here, you’ll be able to enjoy more space than in a typical hotel and can make use of the fully equipped kitchen. We're sure you can rope one of the group into cooking up a full English breakfast each morning...and if not, you've got somewhere to keep the beer supply nicely chilled.

Bristol Transport
When it comes to getting around Bristol for your stag group, you've got plenty of options on the table. The city has a solid public transport system that can make your life a whole lot easier as you navigate from one epic stag activity to another.
The main train station in the city is Bristol Temple Meads, which offers regular services around the area and beyond - it’s well connected to some of the UK’s biggest cities, making it a great choice for stags travelling into (and out of) Bristol for the big weekend. If you’re travelling in a group, make sure you keep an eye out for any discounts and don’t forget to use any railcards if applicable to save some money.
Bristol also boasts a great bus network and offers a bunch of services run by companies like First Bus and Stagecoach. The buses are a brilliant and affordable way of making your way around the city, taking you to all the major spots and attractions. You’ll be able to hop on and off whenever you please. There’s loads of ways to buy bus tickets, including on your phone, online, in the shops or on the actual bus. From single journeys and two trips to bundle tickets, there’ll be a ticket type to match you and your stag crew’s requirements.
Alternatively, if you and the boys would prefer to have full control over your transport, then taxis are there for the taking. You'll find plenty of cabs cruising around Bristol, ready to scoop up your squad and take you wherever your stag-filled hearts desire. There’s two types of taxi in Bristol; the first are Hackney Carriage vehicles, which are painted Bristol blue with an illuminated light on the roof and can be flagged down.
The second, are private hire vehicles. These cannot be flagged down - it’s illegal for private hire vehicles to accept a fare without being pre-booked. When it comes to booking taxis during the stag do, we’d recommend using the BRAXI app, which will allow you to book a taxi in Bristol. You’ll be able to see the fare estimate and can pay on card too. Easy.
Parking in Bristol
Considering driving to Bristol for the stag do? If so, you’ll find a range of parking spots for both short and long stays across the city.
There’s a good variety of multistorey car parks on offer for convenient parking. These can be found in central Bristol and provide easy access to the city's attractions, shopping areas, and businesses. There’s also plenty of non-covered, open-air car parks too, so you shouldn’t be too short on options when it comes to finding somewhere safe and secure to park for the weekend.
It's worth noting that parking availability and pricing can vary, so it's a good idea to check specific car park details and rates before planning your trip to Bristol. One handy tip is to use an app such as Just Park or Your Parking Space, which will allow you to pre-book and pay for a parking space in advance, eliminating any stress or hassle on the day.
If you want to explore Bristol without having to worry about parking, why not arrive and depart via train? You’ll then be able to explore the city by foot, bus or even hire bikes. It's much more relaxing and means you can check out some hidden gems at your own pace!
