So while you get on with planning the fun stuff, let us take care of the not-so-fun but essential logistics.
Budapest is a huge city with hundreds of hotels - but not all of them are happy to accept groups of lads on a stag do. Instead of spending hours trawling through websites trying to find suitable places for the right price in the neighbourhood you want to stay in, we do all the work for you. Apartments
We’ve worked with some great ground agents in Budapest for a number of years now, who have always provided stag groups with a great place to stay. All of the apartments feature a private bathroom and a fully equipped kitchen, so you and the boys will be able to cook up some snacks whenever you feel like it. Your group will be provided with towels and linen, so that’s one less thing to worry about when packing for your trip to Hungary. Many of the apartments on offer provide complimentary WiFi access for you and your group to group to enjoy, so you’ll be able to get those hilarious photos of last night’s stag antics uploaded the following morning!
The apartments will be conveniently located close to all the action. They’re just a 20 minute walk to get to the vibrant hub of city centre, so you’ll be well situated for discovering the city by day and checking out the nightlife as the darkness falls. In addition, your group will also have access to a friendly and knowledgeable holiday representative who really knows their stuff, so you can send any queries or questions her way.
Hotels
All of the hotels we offer our stag groups are conveniently located close to the city centre, and are no more than a twenty minute walk away from the centre of the action. There will be a staffed reception, and each room features a private bathroom. In addition, WiFi will be available throughout your stay, so you’ll be able to update everyone back home about your latest stag shenanigans. You’ll also have access to those holiday necessities like hairdryers and irons, which you’ll find either stored in your room, or available from reception on request.
Budapest Transport
Heading to Budapest for the ultimate stag weekend? Great news; you're in for an unforgettable time in this epic city! But if you're wondering how to get around and what the public transport situation is like, then not to worry, we've got all the info you'll need right here. The good news is that Budapest offers a brilliant public transport network, and there's loads of ways to make your way around.
Budapest offers an excellent Metro system, that's made up of four lines connecting different parts of the city. It's quick, efficient and one of the most popular ways to travel. If you don't fancy the Metro, then how about riding on one of the city's trams? Not only will you get from A to B, but you'll also be able to take in the sights as you go. Buses are also readily available, and the network is pretty extensive, covering both the city centre and the outskirts.
Whether you’re using the Metro, trams or buses, you and your group must be in possession of a valid ticket, pass or travelcard. These must be validated either before you board, or immediately after you’ve boarded, but before your transport departs. You'll be able to purchase tickets at at Ticket Vending Machines (TVM) using cash or card.
Last but not least, there's also taxis. There's plenty around and they can be hailed from designated taxi stands or booked through apps. They’re ideal if you prefer door-to-door service and want to reach your destination quickly. A friendly word of advice is to confirm the fare before you hop in.
With all these transport options at your disposal, navigating your way around Budapest with your fellow stags shouldn't be too much of a hassle. Whether you choose the metro, trams, buses, or taxis, you'll be able to explore the city in a convenient and stress-free way.
Parking in Budapest
Generally, most stag groups fly into Budapest from the UK, but there’s sometimes the odd exception of a stag group that’s doing an epic road trip! Or, you might decide that you want to hire a carl while you're here. If this is what you and your mates are planning on doing, then you’ll want to read up and learn a bit about parking in this vibrant capital.
We'll be honest, parking can be a bit tricky here, especially in main areas of the city. However, there are still ways to park your vehicle without too much hassle. We'd always stress to park in a dedicated car park rather than finding on street parking. There’s a fair few public car parks dotted around the city, so you shouldn't be too far from one.
Some of the car parks in Budapest offer both hourly or day rates, which is a great way to save money if you're parking up for the weekend. If you're looking to avoid the stress of finding somewhere to park during the day, then why not use an online platform to pre-book your space in the city? This will secure your spot so you can enjoy peace of mind! Remember, that parking regulations, fees, and availability is may change, so make sure you read up on everything ahead of your trip.

What is the best place to stay in Budapest for a stag do?
Budapest is a large city, and like Paris is divided into many districts, so it is important that you're staying in the right place on a stag weekend. Luckily, it's easy to do so, because most of the nightlife in Budapest is clustered in the 6th and 7th districts, which are right next to each other. In these areas you'll find many of Budapest's most interesting and lively bars.
Where are your Budapest stag hotels located?
We know that most stag groups want to be located as close to the nightlife as possible, which is why our Budapest stag hotels are to be found in and around the 6th and 7th Districts. As a general rule, you can expect no more than a 10-20 minute walk to the most buzzing pubs, bars and restaurants from your accommodation, or a short taxi journey. Of course, if there is a particular area you want to stay in, just let us know.
Do you have any party houses in Budapest?

If the stag's a popular fella and your group is going to be on the large size, we can definitely help accommodate you all. We just need to know approximate numbers in advance so that we can work out the rooming arrangements.
How do we get to our Budapest stag accommodation?
The easiest way to get from Liszt Ferenc Airport to your Budapest hotel is with our convenient door-to-door transfers. We'll have a car(s) waiting for you at the terminal at your exact arrival time, so there's no hanging about. Alternatively, the other easy way to get into the city centre is with a taxi - expect it to take around 40 minutes, and be sure to agree the fare before you get in, as there are a few unlicensed operators around. It should cost you around 30 Euros.
Can we have breakfast included?
If you would like a hot or cold breakfast every morning, just let your Budapest stag planner know when they're arranging your booking, so we can ensure that it's priced in and that you're staying at a hotel with a kitchen. Alternatively, since you'll be staying in central Budapest, you will also have a wealth of cafes right on the doorstep.
What about single rooms?
Got a few snorers in the group? Single rooms are always available for a supplement, but they are subject to availability only. Another good reason to book early.
How is our booking protected?
The Stag Company is a member of ABTA (Association of British Travel Agents). As such, in the (very unlikely) event that we should go out of business, your money and that of your friends is protected. Please note that this covers all arrangements we make for you on your stag weekend - it does not cover any transport arrangements you make for getting there such as flights, for which we'd suggest you arrange suitable insurance separately.
How far in advance should we book?
Our advice is always to book your stag weekend as early as possible. It means you have the best choice of accommodation as well as more time to plan. That being said, we do understand that trying to organise a group of lads can be like herding cats at times, and we can always help if you're booking late. We've been doing this since 2004, trust us to make sure you get there and have a great time.
