Gin Tasting Masterclass Including Meal
Let’s get straight to it, if your opinion on gin is that only your grandmother drinks it – you’re way out. Gin’s been popular for centuries with the Great British drinking public. The term ‘Dutch courage’ comes from English soldiers fighting the Spanish in the Netherlands and getting drunk on Dutch genever gin beforehand. And since then it’s been a popular drink with men. The likes of Hemingway and Humphrey Bogart drank it. It’s even a key ingredient in James Bond’s favourite cocktail. Still think it’s only your nan who drinks it?
Gin tasting is a perfect activity for a big group of lads, for example family as well as friends, who might not all know one another. The hands on atmosphere (and plenty of gin) has a way of getting chins wagging and the good times flowing.
Taking place on Saturdays at 2pm or 5pm, as well as on Sundays at 4pm, this is an amazing weekend activity, allowing the group to gradually drift into a drinking activity without going full-blown straight away.
Each person will get the chance to try five different carefully chosen gins, while the expert will talk through the different botanicals and ingredients used, as well as what to expect in regards to tasting notes and aroma.
We don't want your group getting hungry, so there will be nibbles on the table to keep everyone going. You'll also get a meal each from the 'Academy menu', such as a burger with skin on fries and a side of BBQ pit beans. There are vegetarian and vegan options on the menu available.
Before you finish up completely, you'll be provided with a G&T to carry the night on with, the perfect end to a gin masterclass.
