What type of Edinburgh stag accommodation is available?

We've been helping stag groups organise weekends to remember in Edinburgh since 2004. Not only do we have great connections with accommodation providers across the city, but we also understand what stag groups are generally looking for. We offer everything from budget hotels (cheap and cheerful but always comfortable and central) to more luxury hotels with additional facilities such as gyms and spas. Where are your Edinburgh stag hotels located?

As a general rule, we aim to book your group into a hotel no more than 15-20 minutes' walk, or a short taxi ride, from the areas where all the main stag do action happens. Can we have breakfast at the hotel?

Of course! Many Edinburgh stag hotels will serve their group an excellent hot or cold breakfast each morning. Please be clear that you want a hotel that offers breakfast when booking. Alternatively, we can find you a hotel located close to the huge variety of welcoming cafes and pubs to be found in this fabulous city.

What about Edinburgh stag hotels with car parking?

Some hotels have a limited number of car parking spaces available for their guests on a first-come, first-served basis - with a supplementary charge usually payable. There are plenty of secure public car parks in Edinburgh too, where you can leave your vehicle(s) with confidence for a reasonable rate, and these are usually not too far from the Edinburgh stag hotels that we use.

When should we book?

We always tell our groups that the earlier they get their deposits into us the better, as it means more choice when it comes to accommodation. But we also know that some stag groups are a bit more organised than others and some people take their time to commit. Most of the time, that's not an issue, but if you do book very late in the day, you might (rarely) find yourselves staying a bit further out, or perhaps having to split the group into two hotelsAn additional complication crops up for stag weekends taking place during the Edinburgh Fringe, during the Six Nations tournament, or on Hogmanay. These are incredibly popular times to visit Edinburgh and as such, accommodation is in particularly high demand. So, if you're planning an Edinburgh stag do in early spring, August or at New Year then you really need to be booking as early as possible.

Can we stay for one night only?

Some Edinburgh stag hotels will accept groups for one night only, but your choices will be a bit more limited. And during peak season, such as over summer, most hotels impose a minimum stay requirements of two nights. Again, this is something best discussed with our Event Planners at the time of booking.

Are Edinburgh stag hotels expensive?

Accommodation for stag groups in Edinburgh is quite pricey simply because this is one of the UK's most desirable destinations. It's never going to be cheap, however we make every effort to secure the best deals for our Edinburgh stag dos so that you have more money to spend on your activities nightlife and beer kitty! The Edinburgh Fringe Festival, held in August every year, is one of Europe's biggest cultural events. As such, accommodation is in very high demand and you can expect to pay a premium. Many stag groups do choose to visit Edinburgh during the Fringe of course, because there is so much to do from comedy to live music, and an incredible, unique atmosphereIf you want to organise a stag do during Edinburgh Fringe, you need to start organising it way in advance. We can't help you with tickets to Fringe events, but we can sort out your stag accommodation and nightlife if you give us enough time - and as long as you're of the understanding that it will cost you more to stay in Edinburgh during this time.
