Highland Games in Edinburgh
If your stag do has headed across the border then you might find yourself wanting to partake in some Scottish traditions. We’re sure that you can manage the drinking of a few wee drams on your own. But if you’re looking for something more? Then sign up for your very own version of the Highland Games! You and your mates will be separated into clans to compete against one another. You’ll clash in all the classics such as the Tyre Flip and the legendary Tossing the Caber. Competitive levels are guaranteed to surge throughout, so we advise assigning a forfeit for a losing team.
Highland Games Experience
Bring out a wee kilt and get ready for a tournament of Highland Games on your stag do in Edinburgh. These games are for the truly hearty and involve old-time Scottish traditions such as Tossing the Caber (where participants literally throw tree trunks as far as they can), Hurling the Wellies (where it’s wellies instead of trees) and Tossing the Hammer (you get the jist!).
It's essentially a ridiculous, testosterone-driven few hours of Scottish-themed challenges that also just so happen to take place in stunning Scottish scenery. Try your hand at The Farmer’s Dash, Puttin’ the Stane, Tyre Flip, and the Malt Haggis Challenge. This is an afternoon that will have you in stitches of laughter as your stag and his clan compete in the ultimate Highland Games challenge. Led by kilt-cladden instructors, you'll be supplied with a 'See You Jimmy!' hat, Irn Bru and Shortbread snacks (of course) and the victorious team will receive a bottle of Whiskey!
If it's raining, as it sometimes does, wellies and waterproofs will be provided, but do wear sensible shoes. And leave your inhibitions at home.

Fun-filled competitions, Scottish instructors that boast banter and plenty of that renowned Highland hospitality – and all in the brawest of Scottish surroundings. Make a day of it on your Edinburgh stag weekend with this great multi-package!
The Mini Highland Games is one of the best Stag Activities in Edinburgh, hilarious and hands-on, you'll take part in a series of Scottish-themed challenges in your 'see you Jimmy!' hats. Tossing the Caber, Hurling the Haggis, Welly Wagin’, Farmer’s Dash, Tyre Flip, Weight O’er Bar, Puttin’ the Stane, Tossing the Hammer, Tug O’ War. All rounded off with a bottle of Whisky for the winning Clan.
Archery is a sport that hits the mark for everybody, whether they fancy themselves as Robin Hood or not. The aim of the game is to shoot your arrows at targets comprised of coloured rings. Once you've got the measure of your bow, there's a good chance of scoring a competitive bulls-eye or two...under the expert supervision of your professional instructor. See which member of your group has the sharpest aim and can notch up the most points.
Finally, Air Rifles is the perfect activity to test your groups patience and precision. The targets are small but the gloating when you hit all three is definitely worth it! Air Rifles is perfect end to an adventurous day. You'll have well and truly earnt your right to a good, hard drink and a big night ahead!
