If you fancy yourself as a bit of a Robin Hood character, and you’re interested in practicing your aim and fire with your group of merry men, then we definitely recommend that you get a session of archery booked in for your stag weekend. It’s an ancient sport which dates back many centuries, and although you may think it looks like an easy activity, archery requires a steady hand, in addition to copious amount of concentration; so it’s essential that you pay full attention to your instructor, who will give top tips on how to perfect your technique, a quick demonstration and a safety briefing featuring those all-important do’s and don’ts.

Axe Throwing
Release your inner vikings with this adrenaline pumping axe throwing stag activity. You and the lads will assemble at the venue and be given a safety briefing by qualified instructors before the event. There is a strict no drinking policy before and during (for obvious reasons) so please bear that in mind. However, there is a sports bar located next door so you can pop in to start your celebrations afterwards. Wear comfortable clothing and trainers, feet must be covered.

Xtreme Archery
Newquay is a brilliant destination for a stag do. There’s the incredible beaches and a chance to hit those famous waves, but there’s also an adrenaline packed activity that’s a recent newcomer to the stag activity scene that we think you’ll be interested in - Xtreme Archery!
It’s all manners of fun, and you’ll get to shoot your mates with arrows, but not the kind that would could serious harm! These ones have a round rubber tip on the end, so they’ll absorb the impact when they hit a player! There will of course be a full safety briefing from a qualified instructor who will explain all the rules of the game and you'll be provided you with all the necessary equipment. After that, you’ll be split into teams and taken to the battlefield, where you’ll get stuck into some fierce warfare!
Each team will have five specially designed bunkers, all of which have five cones – points will be awarded when those cones are hit and when a player of the opposing team is hit. The game finishes when either all players are eliminated, all cones have been hit or the time has run out – you’ll get to play a series of games, all of which will last around 10-minutes each. So get ready for an exhilarating and faced paced experience which will be sure to get that heart pumping! Please be aware that comfortable clothing and trainers are required for Xtreme Archery, so make sure you pack some with you!
