Leeds Bubble Football Stag Do's

At The Stag Company we’re big fans of zorb football – it’s the beautiful game gone silly on a stag do in Leeds. You wear big see-through inflatable spheres on your top half, then try your best to stay upright and get control of the ball as the other team tackle you in the style of Mr Bump. It’s hard to keep a straight face when half of you are rolling around on the floor. We’ve been offering this for ages, so you’ll get high-quality equipment and brilliant hosts who like a bit of banter and make sure you have fun. As well as ‘normal’ zorb football you can try variations like Dizzy Penalties, Last Man Standing and more team and individual challenges.

This is one session of kick-a-bout that the lads won’t forget for a long time. Start off with a round of Bubble Football, which has long been one of our most popular and fun stag activities. You’ll be strapped into Zorb-like inflatable balls, so that only your legs are sticking out, then take part in a series of games such as Bulldog, Capture the Flag, Sumo and Last Man Standing, as well as trying to actually get the ball in the net. All while bouncing around the pitch sending each other flying!

Afterwards, enjoy a few rounds of Ballseye. Which is exactly what it sounds like. A giant dart board will be set up on the pitch, and you’ll take it in turns booting a velcro football to see who can score the most points. Each activity is between 60 and 90 minutes depending on your group size, and you’ll have trained coaches at hand to referee as well as make sure there are no balls ups. 
 

A little bit of competitiveness and a little bit of a kick-around. Mixed together it’s a classic combo for a stag. And with this double header of bubble and binocular football you’ll be getting two extra fun twists on the beautiful game. After meeting up at a central Leeds venue, you and the lads will be strapping on a pair of Xtreme goggles as well as your boots. Combining the great game with a great excuse to see your mates make a fool of themselves, these goggles make the ball appear further away, or nearer than it actually is. Cue lots of air-kicking, falling over and generally making fools of yourselves. There’s nothing quite like watching Dave, who’s always telling you what a Sunday League Legend he is trying to pull off a volley and instead pulling a hamstring as he kicks nothing but sweet sweet air. It provides you with tons of banter to take the piss out of one another with later.

As fun as binocular football is, it does have a way of slowing down the game especially after you’ve been burned a few too many times thinking that the ball was only a few feet away. To speed things up and bring a bit of intensity to things halfway through your session you’ll be trading in those binoculars for a bubble. Yes. A bubble. Picture a mini-zorb that puts your upper half in a hamsters ball and you’re on the right track. If binocular football slows things down, this speeds them up. The beautiful game is transformed something that’s half football and half pinball as you bounce off one another.

The lack of balance, and your new-found invincibility from inside the bubble generally means that nobody’ll be mistaking you for Barcelona. But even without any skill and finesse you can still do a pretty good imitation of a team – namely the Crazy Gang era Wimbledon. Bubble football’s a great way to get out a bit of tension. And as this is a stag do the game’s not over til you send the groom flying into the net.

We’ll provide a referee but he’s really only there to ensure that things don’t get chaotic. Well, too chaotic anyway.

This is a brilliant stag combo that will have you and the boys laughing about your experiences well into the night. You’ll start things off with a session of Bubble Football which, if you’re new to the concept, is bizarre and amazingly fun. You’ll each be strapped into a giant inflatable ball so that only your legs are poking out of the bottom. Then you’ll be split into teams for a kick-a-bout, trying to keep your balance while also trying to knock the opposing players off their feet. But don’t worry, soft landings are guaranteed.

After a quick breather, you’ll then line up for a session of Dodgeball. Made famous by the Ben Stiller movie, this event always gets seriously competitive as you try and pick your friends off across a series of challenges. Beware, once people start ‘getting their arm in’, you’ll need to be fast on your feet to dodge them. All the equipment needed for both activities is provided, and you’ll also have trained coaches at hand to referee the games so you can get on with the action.
 

If you were one of those who never picked up a trophy at school sports day, or were always two left feet when playing footie in the playground, then you’ll find a lot to love about this laugh-packed stag combo activity. First off, a session of Bubble Football. If you’ve never done this before, it’s hilarious. You’ll be strapped into giant inflatable balls with just your legs poking out, then play a ludicrous game of football where every tackle sends you and your opponent flying, only to bounce around completely unharmed. The hard bit is getting back up! 

After you’ve regained your sense of balance and had a quick breather, you’ll love an old-school Sports Day, where the group is divided into ‘Houses’ and then compete against each other in a series of classic games. Sack races, egg and spoon races, wheelbarrow races and of course that traditional favourite: the tug of war. This nostalgic activity is a big favourite with stag groups, letting you unleash your competitive nature in the daftest way possible.
 

Football is a game of skill, poise and balance – usually involving the use of all four limbs. But what happens if you take the use of arms out of the equation and stick each player in a giant inflatable sphere down to their knees? Well you and your group will have to wait and see what this involes when you are on site....

After you have finished rolling the stag around for nearly an hour you'll get another opportunity to all have some bow and arrows to shoot at eachother! A mixture of Dodgeball and Archery, this is the new 'must' for an Adrenalin packed Stag weekend. Your instructor will explain the rules of the game and get you set up for the battle to end all battles!
